World We Dare Imagine Part 3
World We Dare Imagine Part 3
What Do We Believe In?
What is something that all of us take for granted? Some things that may come to mind are food, shelter, and clothes. Something that may not come to mind but is absolutely essential to us in our modern society is education. Education is what allows us as humans to thrive and prosper. It is much better to teach a man to fish than to give him a fish, as he will become self-sufficient. Knowledge of agriculture is ultimately what puts food on our plates every day. With that being said, we at Human Success Foundation believe that providing knowledge to those who do not have it is the best way to lift people out of poverty in a sustainable fashion.
Schools
Our organization plans to expand our existing schools into struggling communities located in poor countries in Africa. HSF has already built schools in Southeast Asia and Central America with much success. We have taught the locals about corporate social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and environmentalism and continue to do so. Aside from that, we have a powerful team of teachers who teach K-12 courses, including but not limited to reading, writing, arithmetic, and foreign languages. These teachers all share the same vision that we have at HSF and have experience with creating sustainable business models. We hope that our students will be able to replicate these business models in perpetuity and be able to use any kind of aid in a sustainable way. Our goal is to ingrain the culture with the ideals of sustainability, whether that be environmental or business. HSF believes that it’s much better to form the culture and mindset of environmentalism before industrialization even begins. As these countries become industrialized eventually, the people will choose to keep the environment in mind when making decisions.
Money
HSF schools are one of a kind, because they double as financial institutions. In order to keep our operations running, our schools also provide micro-financing to locals. We have seen more than a quarter of our students coming back to ask for business loans after graduating. HSF only approves loans if the proposed business plan is sustainable both in terms of profitability and environment. As of now, we have approved over 80% of loan requests and have seen 95% of all investment repaid with interest. By expanding our schools to more countries, HSF hopes to create an international network of similarly-educated entrepreneurs that care about education, business, and the environment.
Investment
Since education is a kind of long-term investment that doesn’t show immediate results or profit, HSF needs a large amount of initial investment in order to build new schools and hire high-quality teachers who are willing to teach overseas. HSF has been able to build its current schools thanks to funding from wealthy donors and organizations that share our vision. Our presence on social media and the news is slowly increasing and we have received many donations from people with generous hearts. However, we still need additional funding in order to expand. We hope to partner with Anima Mundi Development Partners because both our organizations care about the environment, CSR, and making the world a better place. Additionally, AMDP’s investment in HSF would receive a large amount of positive media attention. We hope that you will support us as we work to end suffering through education.
